As William Shakespeare, were he alive today (he’d be 450), might have tweeted, “Though this be Method (acting), yet there be madness in ‘t.”

Noted Method actor Vincent D’Onofrio, 55, has created a “punk spoken word album,” “Slim Bone Head Volt,” along with a crew of musicians led by Dana Lyn. (D’Onofrio is known for his roles in the movies “Full Metal Jacket” and “Men in Black” and the TV crime series “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”)

Mr. D’Onofrio’s people have cited noted ‘30s punk John(ny Rotten) Steinbeck (112) in describing the album: “Slim Bone Head Volt” is “a poem, a stink, a grating noise, a quality of light, a tone, a habit, a nostalgia, a dream.”

This dream doesn’t become reality until March 3, but label Buddhabug (!) has released a teaser track, “I’m a Hamster.” (No, I’m not making that up. Or any of this.)

The look on Ms. Lyn’s face could sum it all up: “Make this stop,” she seems to be saying. “Please.”
