Seattle Americana and roots-music band The Dusty 45s celebrate New Year’s Eve in two times zones.

Performing Dec. 31 at the Tractor Tavern, the first show begins at 6:30 p.m. and coincides with the dropping of the ball at midnght in New York City. The second show starts at 10:00 p.m. in time for the festivities at the Space Needle.

Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands open both shows.

The Dusty 45s, who always conclude their high-energy shows with band leader Billy Joe Huels’ flaming trumpet performance, plan to preview songs from their upcoming album, “Fortunate Man,” due Jan. 29. The album features original Dusty 45s songs, including “Walking in the Rain,” “Peace of Mind” and the title track.

Tickets for the New Year’s Eve bash at the Tractor are $20 in advance at www.TicketWeb.com or $25 at the door.

The Dusty 45s formed in 1997 and play to packed houses all over Seattle. In addition to Huels (vocals, guitar and trumpet), the group includes Jerry Battista (lead guitar, vocals), Kelly Van Camp (drums, harmonica, vocals) and Jeff Gray (upright bass).

The Dusty 45s were voted one of Seattle’s best bands by Seattle Weekly readers three years in a row.
