Someone — either Conan O’Brien, a member of his staff or perhaps a prankster, has posted an ad for a “barely used late night talk show” on Craiglist. You can read it here and also on All Headline News.

Here’s a report from ABC News/ Entertainment about what actor Rob Lowe of “Brothers and Sisters” has said to O’Brien as a guest on “The Tonight Show.” But Lowe’s remarks that no one will remember “The Tonight Show” in a couple of years is all wrong. People still remember “I Love Lucy,” don’t they? TV viewers have long memories, and memories of Johnny Carson alone will ensure that the show will never be forgotten if it’s canceled.

The battle between O’Brien and Jay Leno for “The Tonight Show” has almost turned into a duel of Gen X vs. baby boomers, with Gen X’ers favoring O’Brien and older viewers perhaps favoring Leno — or not. As negotiations for O’Brien to leave NBC-TV continue, ratings for “The Tonight Show” have surged. Read about it in the New York Times here.

What do you think of O’Brien’s likely departure from “The Tonight Show?”
