Check out this great photo of Seattle musician Duff McKagan at the release party last Thursday at the Crocodile Cafe for “Sick,” the new album from McKagan’s band Loaded.
The photo was shot by Seattle photographer “Iron” Mike Savoia, who was down in the trenches for the super-loud show. The performance kicked off the band’s first U.S. tour.
McKagan, who grew up in the Seattle, is still the bassist for Velvet Revolver — and before that, he played in Guns N’ Roses. In Loaded, McKagan handles vocals and guitar. Filling out the group are Mike Squires (guitar), Jeff Rouse (bass) and Geoff Reading (drums).
The evening’s big surprise was the appearance of Kurt Bloch of The Fastbacks. Bloch had also appeared at the Crocodile April 7 for the 50th birthday party of former bandmate Kim Warnick.
