High-profile members of the music community are rallying around King County Councilman Dow Constantine, who is running for King County Executive.

Providing the music at a fundraising party Thursday, April 23, at the Crocodile Cafe are John Roderick, Carrie Akre, DJ K-NOw, Kristen Ward, Shawn Smith and Dave Dederer.

Hosts of the fundraiser include, among many others, Dederer, Krist Novoselic, Kim Thayil, Susan Silver, David Meinert, Kyla Fairchild, Kerri Harrop and — in the interest of full disclosure — myself, Gene Stout.

For the last decade, Constantine has worked hard for the Seattle music community, lobbied for all-ages shows, helped fund the Vera Project and reined in restrictive nightclub regulations.
