The initial lineup for the 2013 Noise for the Needy festival June 20-23 features Said the Whale, Polyrhythmics, Smokey Brights, River Giant, The Blakes, Kris Orlowski, Cody Beebe and the Crooks, Tango Alpha Tango and many others.

Tickets go on sale April 19 at the official website. Proceeds will benefit the Ballard Food Bank.

Performances will take place at Ballard venues the Tractor Tavern, Sunset Tavern and Conor Byrne, as well as the new, 500-capacity Ballard Party Lot (located behind Hattie’s Hat), where food and a full bar will be offered.

NFTN is a Seattle-based nonprofit organization that raises money for charitable causes through live music shows. To date, NFTN has raised more than $150,000 for Seattle charities.

The Ballard Food Bank’s mission is “to bring food and hope to our neighbors because there can be enough for everyone.” The food bank serves more than 1,000 Ballard Magnolia and Queen Anne households each week. Read more about the organization here.
