Northwest photographer Jini Dellaccio, who created iconic images of Northwest rock bands in the ’60s, is the subject of a new book, “Jini Dellaccio: Rock & Roll.”
The book makes its debut during an exhibition of Dellaccio’s photographs April 24 at the Crocodile Cafe. Some of the original musicians who created the first “Seattle sound” join younger musicians in a live tribute concert.
Dellaccio, who is 92, will attend the reception. Her photos of the Sonics, Wailers, the Daily Flash, Don and the Goodtimes and other groups set a standard for rock photography for years to come.
Festivities begin at 9 p.m. The $10 admission fee can be applied to purchase of the book. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Jini Dellaccio Collection founded last year as a private trust to restore, preserve and archive her images.
