The queen of brash, lusty rockabilly tunes returns to Seattle for a show Dec. 19 at The Crocodile.

Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside are touring in support of last winter’s sensational album, “Untamed Beast,” on Partisan Records. Ford also plans to release a “Summer EP” next winter, just because she can.

Ford was tapped by Rookie Mag to write their theme song for the month of June, and in early November, members of The Sound Outside were invited to open for Mavis Staples at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton, Mass. Read about it here.

Ford and her band were among the great acts performing at the second annual No Depression Night in August 2012 at the Seattle Center Mural Amphitheatre. Read the story in the Seattle Times.

Details about the show at The Crocodile can be found here. Read more about Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside on their official website.
