For the Beach Boys fan in your household, don’t forget to add the new DVD “The Beach Boys: Live in Concert – 50th Anniversary Tour” to your Christmas list.

The only thing missing from this collection of 21 songs from the group’s 50th anniversary tour is “Little Saint Nick,” originally released in December 1963. Of course, the classic Christmas song wasn’t included on the tour’s set lists, but might have been a nice addition for this holiday-timed release.

The group’s enduring legacy is demonstrated by such songs as “Catch a Wave,” “Little Deuce Coupe,” “409,” “I Get Around” and “Wouldn’t It Be Nice.”

The DVD follows the release of the band’s first new album in 16 years, “That’s Why God Made the Radio,” and “The Beach Boys: Doin’ It Again,” featuring live clips and behind-the-scenes exclusives.

Sound and video quality throughout the “Live in Concert” DVD (from Capital/Brother Records) is first-rate, with close-ups and wide-angle footage of the action on stage. The concert tour featured original members Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine, as well as early members David Marks and Bruce Johnston.
