Flight to Mars, featuring Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, and Sweet Water perform the eighth annual concert to benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s Camp Oasis children’s camp and Advocacy for Patients With Chronic Illness Inc.

This is always a rockin’ night of music that features McCready’s UFO tribute group, as well as Sweet Water, whose musical roots run deep on the Seattle music scene. Flight to Mars, formed in 2003, includes McCready, Gary Westlake, Paul Passereli, Kelly Van Camp, Ty Bailie and Tim DiJulio.

Here’s a link to the band’s MySpace page. And read more about Sweet Water here.

McCready has suffered from Crohn’s — a chronic, inflammatory bowel disease — for many years and has been passionate about supporting this cause. You can read my 2008 interview with McCready here.
