NoDepression.com, one of the leading Web sites for roots-music — from alternative country to bluegrass — has announced a stellar lineup for its first No Depression Festival July 11 at Marymoor Park.

Gillian Welch, Iron & Wine, Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter, Justin Townes Earle, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Patterson Hood & the Screwtopians, and the Seattle all-star, roots-music revue, Zee Avi, are the featured performers for the all-day fest.

No Depression made its debut in 1995 at a roots-music and alternative country magazine whose name was inspired by a Depression-era Carter Family song. The magazine sadly ceased publication last year to become a Web-only magazine. No Depression is now a community-oriented site that will soon offer an archive of the print magazine’s content.

No Depression has also partnered with the University of Texas Press to issue a series of “bookazines.” The first will be available this spring.

Tickets, $45, go on sale Friday, May 15, at noon at Ticketmaster. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.concertsatmarymoor.com. Information: www.stgpresents.org and www.nodepression.com.
