Canadian band Rush brought its classic hard-rock sound to the White River Amphitheatre Saturday (Aug. 7) for a two-part performance plus encore.

The band’s “Time Machine 2010 Tour” started in late June in Albuquerque, N.M., and wraps up Oct. 2 in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The show featured the band’s entire “Moving Pictures” album, one of the group’s biggest U.S. albums to date, as well as songs from the upcoming “Clockwork Angels.”

Founded in 1974, Rush features Geddy Lee on lead vocals, bass and keyboards; Alex Lifeson on guitar and Neil Peart on drums. The title of the band’s tour reflects the band’s fascination with fantasy and science fiction.
