Dave Grohl, who became a member of rock’s royalty as the drummer for Nirvana, brings his latest band — Them Crooked Vultures — to Seattle this weekend.

Unlike his role in Foo Fighters, the post-Nirvana band in which he played guitar, Grohl has once again assumed the role of drummer in Them Crooked Vultures.

Grohl and Vultures perform at 8 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 21) at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets: $41.50; call 877-784-4849 or go to STGPresents.

In addition to Grohl, Them Crooked Vultures features guitarist Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss and Eagles of Death Metal) and bassist John Paul Jones (of Led Zeppelin). “New Fang,” the first single from the band’s self-titled debut album, was releasedd Tuesday (Nov. 17).
